Netball Season Preview
There’s a special feeling around Rokewood netball in 2025—an energy that comes from years of building, believing, and striving for success. For the past several seasons, the club has been a finals mainstay, and this year, the passion and hunger to push even further are stronger than ever.
A Grade sees the homecoming of Kate O’Meara, a three-time league best and fairest winner who returns to Rokewood colours because of the life long friends that she has made in our special club. Kate’s return is more than just a boost in talent—it’s a reflection of the strong, family-driven culture that makes this club so special. She’s joined by Charlotte Cain, a wildcard in the midcourt whose speed, unpredictability, and relentless attack on the game will add an exciting new dynamic. Rounding out the key A grade additions is Kate Aikman, a small but fiery competitor like the rest of her family, whose determination and X-factor attitude will lift those around her.

But the excitement extends far beyond just A Grade. Right across the club, a wave of new recruits has brought fresh talent, experience, and depth to every grade. With strong player retention and new faces pushing for spots, the healthy competition at training has lifted the standard across the board. Every team is stronger, hungrier, and more connected than ever before.
And then there’s the juniors—the heart of Rokewood’s future. Numbers are booming, and the talent coming through is nothing short of inspiring. These young players are embracing the club’s standards, learning from senior mentors, and growing into the next generation of Rokewood stars. The club is investing in them, too—with the upgrade of the existing clubrooms into a dedicated netball facility, ensuring the future of Rokewood netball continues to thrive.
The buzz around the club is impossible to ignore. There’s an undeniable sense of belief, excitement, and pride in what’s being built. With a culture of loyalty, passion, and relentless drive, Rokewood netball is ready to take on 2025—not just as competitors, but as a club united in the pursuit of something truly special
