2023 Netball Season Preview

What has the lead up to the season been like for you, as coaches?

Its been a very productive preseason for the whole netball club. We have been working hard on our fitness over the break and the teams are all looking fabulous.

We cant wait to start the 2023 season!

How have you felt about the girls and pre-season so far?

The girls have made coaching so far, a dream. They have all been very enthusiastic and encouraging in regards to learning new things and trying things to push them to reach their goals, personally and as a team.

What has been your main focus in the pre-season?  

So far due to the refurb of our courts and preseason being quite a lengthy one this year, we have been working heavily on fitness and match play. Just to get everyone working towards the same goal. 

How excited are you for the season to get underway?

Wow excited is an understatement. Preseason is always fun, but it's been long and challenging with different training locations, times etc. So I CAN NOT WAIT for round 1 to hit and to see the girl's hard work pay off when they can run out a full game no worries. 

Who are you most excited to see out on the court and why?

To be honest, no one individually. I am just excited for the club to see the improvement in the teams, the bonding which has happened through the preseason to be present on the court and to just see all the girls out there enjoying their netball again. It's obviously a major goal as a club to perform well, but I think you perform best when you have a supportive group of girls around you, and I truly feel like that is what we are creating.

What is your main goal for the season ahead?

Obviously to take it two steps further than last year and bring home a couple of premierships for the club. However, I would also like to just see the girls all bonding and genuinely wanting the best for each other. I believe that is when we will make greatness happen! ;)
